i’m having too much fun making shabby crafts. i say shabby because i suck – i have alot to learn about sewing, knots, stitching, etc. the fronts look cute, but the backs look a hot mess! oh well, my friends are just going to have to deal with being the guinea pigs until i get better and start selling them. i am really considering making an etsy shop. but like i said – i have a long way to go.
here’s today’s creation – a door hanger for Harpers boyfriend in Minnesota, Benny. Benny has a pug sister just like Harper.

who think the H monster is cute as can be! i entered her in a local contest at Hush Baby boutique for their ‘cutest baby ever’ contest. there were over 100 entries and after the first round of voting held in their store this past saturday, the nugget is in the final top 10! i’m really excited and hopeful that we can win the final round so Harper can win the $500 gift card prize (i’ll help her spend it of course). ’cause we all know every baby needs a pair of true religions.
not to be rude (but lets be real – i’m going to be), there is 2 year old who made it named Elektra. yeah. with a K (like it matters – a C would have been bad, too).

i decided to make some cute little barrette holders for H since i couldn’t find any that i liked enough to pay for. etsy only had a few and they were a little too…princessy for me. here are the 2 i’ve made so far:
i’ve come with tons of other ideas for more, plus little pillows so i can do boy things, too. kind of excited to see what i can do next! go martha.
