at home! with the baby! just for funsies!
yeah, i wear aprons!
dinner was artichoke and spinach dip, pasta with homemade pesto (made by Angela with basil from her garden – yum), and spring salad also from Angela’s garden.
gotta love spur of the moment ideas that turn out to be really fun evenings. finished it off with ice cream, cuddles and watching hoarders on a&e (hello, problems).
::still irked about baby contest. trying to not be. can’t help it. now Harper will never have a pair of baby true religions and a closet full of melissa & doug wooden toys! GARRRRRRGGGGHHHHHHH!::

i’ll get this out of the way first so i don’t have to dwell on it : our little H didn’t win the cutest baby ever contest! (i know what you’re thinking – wtf?) another baby who looked like she could be related to Harper won – only this baby wasn’t smiling. the worst part – she only lost by 2 votes. TWO. i wish i didn’t know that part. i’m obviously bummed, but obviously still know my little munchkin is the cutest to us!
(holding back snark because i am uber SAD that i can’t go buy all the cute swag for H with the $500 gift card. )
anywho, on to 2 of the cuter things that happened today. i was taking a shower this morning, and scot had told me he was going to take the kiddo for a walk. i hear Harper fussing a little and then the bathroom door opens. Scot says “babe, am i doing this wrong?” – i pull open the shower curtain to see a crying Harper in the ergo baby, facing out. you really can’t use the ergo like that because of the way it’s made. Harpers legs were in the biggest splits possible and the look on her face coupled with his made me bust out laughing. it was the cutest, silliest most endearing thing i’d seen in a while. i wish the camera had been in close range. man, it was priceless. she did pass out on their walk and i got this little gem when he got home.
we went to dinner at LeLe (super yums thai/vietnamese place) and had some way tasty pho. we stopped to grab icecream afterwards and on the way home, Scot was singing sort of silly like to the radio. all of a sudden from the back seat, Harper started yelling loudly like him. as he kept going, she kept going, and they sang together the whole way home. it was to die for cute. i think it was one of my favorite moments ever, actually.
pretty stoked on my newest pillow. it might be the first to be for sale. problem is, i keep liking the ones that i make and want to keep them or give them to someone i like! anyways, here ’tis:
