summertime and the living’s easy…

Posted on | July 25, 2010 | 10 Comments

this weekend was summery perfection! the weather was gorgeous and it was full of friends and fun. it was the first time this year i felt like it was really, truly, most-likely-sticking-around summer. you know, just in time for back to school crap to start filling the stores.

but moving on.

saturday was  a co-ed wedding shower for my lovely friends jessica and rory. i’m honored to be a bridesmaid (bridesmatron? i don’t think i can really be a maid…) and the H monster is going to be making her flower girl debut on their wedding day, august 21st. rory was my first friend in Tacoma and i met jessica a few years later and became friends, so this is pretty special to me. next weekend is the lady gaga themed bachelorette party (yes, i will share photos i’m sure), but her grandma threw a lovely shower yesterday for the almost married couple. it was awesome!

today we met up with our good friends holly and doug and their little nugget, norah. norah is exactly one year and one day older than harper and loves her. sometimes norah gets so excited to see harper that her little fists clench up like she wants to squeeze harper until her eyes pop out. we met up for breakfast and then we took the girls to a park in tacoma that has a sprayground (thanks Kristin!). basically it’s the best thing ever and we are going to be spending a lot of time there between now and september 15th when it closes. H was fearless and loves the water. she had a complete BLAST.

this evening we are relaxing with a jamba juice (mine is orange dreamcicle, because obviously) and grilling up some dinner. super awesome weekend – i hope yours were just as good! come visit tomorrow, because i will be giving away a swimsuit just like the one H is wearing in these pics. mamas to girls, you don’t want to miss it :]

"sometimes norah gets so excited to see harper that her little fists clench up like she wants to squeeze harper until her eyes pop out"

This is the funniest line I've read in a while :)

And yes, splash pads are the place to be…love them.
