since i wasn’t blogging here where H was born (i started the haps when she was 3 months old) and she is going to be 2 this month, i thought i’d do a little countdown with photos of H from each month of her life thus far. we have thousands of photos of Harper. some folders hold 10 in a row where you can barely tell a difference besides small hand movements or face expression. i love taking pictures of her and i love that so many memories are captured. i love finding a folder that i forgot even exisited and getting to see a day or moment in time i may have forgotten. going through all of them made me smile, laugh and tear up. how can something that feels like yesterday feel like a lifetime ago at the same time? sigh.

here is Harper, months just bornded through 6. and yeah, we celebrate half birthdays. and no, she didn’t eat any cupcakes. Scot and i totally took care of that for her.

    mandy, i’ve lurked for a while but i am now officially your newest follower. bloggy style & twittering style! i love these pics of harper, & although there is no reason to pic a favorite, i feel compelled to. five months. maybe cuz it’s coincidentally the same age as my little man, or maybe just because she is finely executing the star jump (i’m sure her legs are in fine star form as well). also, since parker’s six month is coming up in two weeks, i’m totally following your lead & making cupcakes. totally.

    I remember when you emailed me those first pics those few days right after she was born and I was waiting for Piper to get here… I just started at them all day. Every day. For weeks. She was/is so perfect.

    Unbelievably adorable! Isn’t it amazing to watch the progression when you do something like this? I love this idea, and plan to steal it shamelessly when my own daughter turns two in December. :) I’ll give the credit where credit is due…

    Oh, and I have friends who do a cake for each month during the first year. They post pics on FB. Wish I’d thought of that idea. Although I would not have lost the baby weight had I done that. LOL

    I’m ALL about the celebratory half birthday. That’s a major occasion in our household. We just celebrated my kid’s half a couple weeks ago :) And I fear in no time I’ll be looking at two years. Enjoy the last little moments with your precious 1 year old!!

    Your Harper (totally adore that name in every single way btw) is quite possibly one of THE CUTEST babies I have ever seen.
