happy new year, friends.

the last week of 2010 has decided to kick me straight in the ace. i woke up christmas morning with a bad cold and it still has it’s grip on me, badly. my cousin who lives in NYC got stuck here because of the snow there and she’s been here on my couch (luckily helping me with the kiddo and getting my house in order, thanks Sam!). Scot has been working ungodly hours (right now he’s on hour 18 and still not home today). that kid of mine just realized she is two and is acting accordingly (read: TERRIBLE). i have to stop myself from crying or screaming out of pure frustration from being sick, run down, EXHAUSTED and just plain over it. it’s not good over here people. i assure you it is not pretty.

but.

there was no way i could let all this stop me from doing a blog post with at least a little thank you to you, my faithful readers friends. you read my words when they appear, you support my ideas, laugh at my jokes, help me to get through times like these. 2010 was a HUGE year for me and realizing what blogging means to me. i started the year with a new domain and as i sit here thinking of all that the past 365 days have brought, i don’t know if i have any words. i never knew what blogging would mean to me. i never knew what it would bring. this year showed me.

i know i’m not always right. not always funny, not always the best writer (hello, caps much?), not always poignant, not always thought provoking, not always deep. but i know i’m a good blogger. and i know that because of you. your words mean more to me than many of you will ever know. your comments make my day and i so very appreciate you being here. thank you.

sorry i have no 2010 recap. no top 50 photos from 2010. no lists, no countdowns, nothing. but i have love for you.

::throws confetti::

and confetti. i have confetti.

happy new year, friends.

review & giveaway {Tea Collection}

i hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! we certainly did. the H monster definitely understood the holiday this year and hearing her sing christmas songs, look for rudolph and open gifts was amazing.

and she looked adorable all weekend through all the festivities thanks to Tea Collection. Tea has adorable  boys clothes, girls clothes and even clothes for mamas. they offered to send Harper some goodies, so we hopped online and picked out some pretty dresses and tops for her and placed our order over the phone. as a person who isn’t a fan of placing orders on the phone, i can’t say enough good things about their process. it was fast, easy and i hung up very pleased. a few days later, pretty things showed up on our doorstep, just in time for the many holiday festivities we had lined up.

super cute, right? i just adore all the prints they offer – they are really unique and not something you will see on other brands. the fabrics are soft and perfect for play. i found it to be a wonderful place to shop for children’s clothes because Tea has signature looks – i can spot a Tea Collection kimono dress anywhere!

and because Tea is awesome, they want to give one lucky reader of the Haps $100 to spend on Tea Collections goodies! and you thought Christmas was over! :)

to enter to win, simply go to Tea Collection and then leave a comment here on what catches your eye, be it a print, style of dress or shirt, whatever! my personal favorite is their brand new line Viva la Artista. tell me your favorite! if you’d like to keep up on the latest from Tea and hear about discounts and giveaways, follow them on twitter or like them on facebook (not entries and not required to enter).

i will draw a winner this friday december 31st, so be sure to get your entry in before midnight thursday PST.

good luck friends!

Tea Collection sent us clothes at no cost to us. all opinions are my own and no compensation was received for this post.

blogher 2033, here she comes.
