having Scot home for 3 days in a row is seriously like magic. we don’t get to do things like that often, so we pack them full when we do. add to it the fact that we had a 24 hour guest, a huge party to pull off and decent weather and you have a kick ace few days. monday we hit up chuck e cheese’s crib with a few friends for an hour or so, then the 3 of us went on a mini food tour around Tacoma. apparently our eyes are bigger than our stomachs because we only got to 3 places before we had to roll ourselves home. round 2 is already in the works. because rolling around town stopping at numerous places and then having “picpicks” in the back of your SUV is seriously? the way to do things.

how did you guys spend your memorial day weekend? if you say food touring, we are gonna be friends. p.s.? this dress was $17.80. and i thrifted the shoes for $2.99. i know. it’s all kinds of crazy. CRAZY AWESOME.

yay! our 4th week linking up with Amy over at A Good Life.
the cutest little toddler sleeping pose, reminds me of when she was a tiny baby. the toes kill me. we went shopping with Bree all day that day in search of birthday dresses and shoes. as you can see from the last post, we succeeded wildly.
a pooped husband, getting ready to head out of the house on a semi-sunny day. we went to the party store to get the photobooth background, order balloons and of course, try on ridiculous birthday hats shaped like cakes. because obviously.
someone has been super cuddly lately. i love it. i will cuddle anytime, any day of the week. my mama and i went and got a mani-pedi and i got party nails. again, obviously. saturday morning my two faves had waffles and i was off to pick up Mae from the airport for her 24 hour tour of washington she called Mandypalooza. her and H met for the first time not on skype and fell in love. again, obviously.
i took Mae to have lunch down the street from our house on the water – trying my hardest to get her and Christopher and Piper to move here. it’s a good idea, i promise. later we got all kinds of fancy and went to me and Bree’s birthday party. where we wore sparkly crowns with unicorns on one side and narwhals on the other. i can’t even!
sunday was full of bad day-after birthday hair and sad faces because we had to take Mae to the airport. later we wore birthday hats just because we could and ate our feelings. they tasted like cupcakes.
and since you’re probably really here to see if you won something, let’s announce the winners of birthday week, shall we?

it’s like i can’t even begin to write about this weekend. i need more time to process all of the amazingness that has happened thus far. i mean, i’m not even actually 30 yet! but this weekend has been the most incredibly rad few days of this lady’s (just about) 30 years. the love i’ve felt in the past 48 hours can’t really be written.
obviously my partner in this weeks SOS isn’t Harper. but she is almost as tall and just as cute! it’s my best gal Bree (obvs). why yes we did wear the same dress in different colors and matching sparkly shoes to our joint 30th birthday party. and later, we wore handmade (by Bree) crowns that had NARWHALS and UNICORNS on them. i will give you a day or two to digest that before i spring the photos on you. seriously? epic.
there was a photo booth. that is a whole ‘nother post in and of itself. there were balloons. there was CAKE. there were people we love. did i mention my best internet friend forever, Mae, flew in for 24 hours from Florida just to be here? i know. i can’t believe it either. you see how i have too much to write about? i’m all over the place and can’t even.
i promise to tell you all about it over the next couple of days. but for now, i have some relaxing to do. cuddles with my two favorites, looking at photos from this still-continuing weekend, and thanking my lucky stars for the people in my life. i’m feeling like the luckiest almost 30 year old lady in all the land.
