Comfort Food – Hawaiian BBQ Chicken

i actually feel silly posting such an easy recipe. but, i didn’t know about it until i found it on Pinterest and the ease and yumminess needs to be shared. this crock-pot dish is going to be my go-to dinner for those days i don’t feel like doing much of anything in the kitchen. because this recipe? doesn’t take much of anything.
shop:
>> chicken breasts (i used an entire family sized package)
>> bottle of BBQ sauce.
>> can of pineapple chunks.
>> minute rice
no seriously, this is all you need.
read slowly since it’s super, super involved. you’ll probably want to take the laptop into the kitchen at this point so you have the instructions at your fingertips.
place chicken breasts, bottle of sauce, and can of drained pineapple into the crock-pot. cook on low for 4-6 hours. at 5 hours, i shredded the chicken and let it all marinate a bit longer whilst i cooked the minute rice. which again, was really time consuming.
Scot ate two platefuls. i was giddy at how little time i actually had to spend on dinner. perfect.
easy? i think it bears repeating: really, really, really easy.
toddler friendly? she loved it. l-o-v-e-d it.
yummy and comforty? both.
inexpensive? this cost six dollars. we have plenty for lunch tomorrow. ::moonwalk::
tomorrow? soup! see you then?
