Harper Style {11.3.11}

this amount of cute might be illegal, but i’m willing to risk being arrested for it because it needs to be shared with the world. i can’t take the blame for death by cute, though. maybe don’t look directly at the cute?

we’ve had a very busy day so far. we had to drop off our pug this morning to have gall bladder surgery (extreme sad face)(but we get to pick her up later and she will be feeling much better) and then had to get H to her 3 year checkup within the same hour. she did great at the doctor, only had to get one shot (which she did great at considering) and then we headed to starbucks for a vanilla milk treat before we headed home. silver glitter bandaids make everything better, apparently, as evidenced by the jumping and whatnot in these photos. hilarious sidenote? this gnomie gained one pound since her 2 year check up and grew 2 inches. the tiny, she haz it.

i gave her the little green thing that starbucks puts into your mouth hole to keep the drink hot (technical term) and told her it was a magic wand. and she was all “no it’s not, it’s your coffee q-tip!”. this cuteness combined with the outfit almost put me over my adorable threshold for the day. but then she told me i wasn’t her friend anymore and the meter returned to normal. close one!

she’s totally not trying to flip you off in the last photo. it’s just that jumping takes a lot of work and sometimes fingers just pop out. that or she’s mad at me for taking her to get a shot. probably the second one.

    The cute, it burns. How much of a crazy person does it make me that EVERY TIME I see something with a bicycle on it I still think about Harper? The bicycle thing was like a zillion years ago – but only last week in creepy stalker years!

    Adorable. I started knitting my little nieces some legwarmers last year, but never got around to finishing them. I should probably pick it back up for this Christmas.

    as a barista at starbucks, the technical term for the “wand” is ‘splash stick.’ I call them little green pluggies. and will now call them coffee q-tips. because that’s just awesome.
