Hanging with Harper

oh my word.

yesterday i kept H home from preschool because she was sick the majority of the weekend and her nose has remained a faucet. but we got dressed, she picked out some shoes although we were going nowhere, and asked me to put her hair up on top like mommys. we cooped up in her room and read books, did puzzles, and played store (where she used her typewriter as a register and demanded i pay her for things). every so often she would say “mommy, take a picture of me doing this” which is completely out of the norm for her. i brought up snacks and we played the morning away. sorry for the photo overload, but she was just too much.

    Camille makes me do her hair like this too. “Do a bump like yours.” Is it sad that if I have my hair down she thinks I look like a martian bc I so often have my hair up? Whatever I’m a baller.

    She is your mini me! So insanely cute.  Side-note: my mama heart started racing when i noticed the un-clamped window blind pulls– maybe the next item of decor for harper’s room is a clamp (glitter-covered?) to keep those dangerous cords high up and out of harper’s reach.

    ah, you’re right! See we usually have the blinds down with them cracked so that cord is waaaay up high by the top of the window. With hopefully nicer weather coming, and more opportunities for wide open windows, i will do that. thanks Meghan!
