Harper has taken a liking to my point and shoot camera. she totes it around snapping photos of things, and directing us to “laugh! now smile. now read that book!” and it’s downright adorable. we’ve been photographed eating, doing dishes, cooking, etc. she has perfected her self portrait. she even puts her eye up to the display screen, even though there is no viewfinder to look through (adorable in person, let me tell you). i’m thinking we need to get her this so once spring hits we can go on photo walks together! i’ll be sure to keep sharing her masterpieces here.

all photos by Harper, 3 years 4 months old.

we bit the bullet and bought zoe a real point and shoot (bottom of the line nikon) for xmas when she was 4, such a great decision to skip those plastic toy versions and go straight to that! now at 8 she still uses and loves it!

How adorable!!  My daughter (6) uses my old cell phone to take pictures.  It’s so fun to look through everything that she sees.  Oh and is that a pug?  If so…our dogs are twins!!

H has a great role model.  She loves to do what Mama does…and then she does it well!  Great job.

I love it.  And yes, get her that camera or an old iPhone (that’s what my kids take pics with).  It’s just so fun what they think is photo worthy… :D

Photos from kids’ perspectives are so awesome! Keep ‘em coming! I’ve heard of folks skipping the kid camera and getting the entry-level PnS with a warranty (which covers stuff that is your fault) for only a little more $.

I don’t know if it’s because I’m pregnant and emotional but this post is just so freaking sweet!!!!  Real life in the eyes of your baby girl.  I remember when the girl I nannied got her own digital camera.  Those photos were some of my favorites- and watching her put her eye up to the viewfinder was the best.

In regards to home decor- your house looks so cozy!  I love that gold leaf on the wall and the yellow bundt(?) pan hanging up in the kitchen.

Love it. We got our little guy (turning 3 in April) a kiddie (re: unbreakable) camera for Christmas. Every time he gets a hold of it the pictures are of nothing but the floor. Or his fingers. Same thing with my phone – though he has gotten some good shots here and there. Gotta love it!

My 3-year old just received that very camera! She loves it, though I should warn you…the picture quality kinda stinks. You put a moving toddler with a low Megapixel camera and yeah…

Aaaaaadorable! She’ll have so much fun with her very own camera and it’ll be cool to see the world from her perspective.

These pictures are adorable! I love seeing the kinds of things I have to look forward to with a baby girl on the way! Not that my son, who now says “cheeeese” whenever he sees a camera, despite not actually LOOKING at the camera, won’t eventually be hamming it up, but between the hair and the outfits, I think it’ll so fun with a little girl.

I am tagging you in a blog game in an effort to get to know some of the newer ladies I have been keeping up with in the blog world. I hope you’ll get a chance to participate. The post goes up tomorrow. Either way, it’s been super fun reading your blog lately. Your family is adorable!
