Harper got her first real haircut yesterday! i trimmed her bangs a few times back when she was leetle but this was the real deal and i have the tiny snipped curls to prove it. i’ve never seen anyone so excited to get a haircut! and Carly is just the best (she did my hair this week, too!).
the whole day was fun. my mother in law was in town and we all went to the Buttered Biscuit for a late lunch of breakfast food and we walked around downtown Sumner while we waited for H’s appointment. it hailed, poured down rain and was sunny. at this point the weather is hilarious and what can you do but laugh (snow is falling as i type this)? i will be the person dancing and roundhouse kicking when legit spring comes though. stop the madness.
we didn’t get any outfit shots but i was wearing my green pants. festive! i know this is a style link up, so i do apologize for the lack of style in this post (minus Carly – how adorable is she!) but the cuteness of the tiny client hopefully makes up for it.
i hope you are having a great weekend! and a huge birthday shout out to my BIFF (best internet friend forever) Mae. i love you friend!

sweater: h&m // pants: target // shoes: target // necklace: gift from elladolce
i kinda wanna be more than friends…with these pants. it’s hard for me to not go back to target and buy yellow and bright blue and purple. with spring coming i see no good reason not to do so. colored pants party!
this weekend has been wonderful. saturday was nice and relaxing, with a good amount of bed head from all parties, mostly Harper (who is yes, wearing christmas jammies. in march.). detangling spray and leave in conditioner is a must in this house – the girl cooks up some serious, not to be messed with, rats nests while she slumbers. it’s a joy and a pleasure to attack each morning.
in the evening we took Harper to my moms, but first we stopped for an espresso wake up and a treat for the little lady. she picked a tiny woopie pie. have you seen their tiny PIES? just about the most darling little stupid pointless treasures of awesomeness i’ve ever seen.

Scot and i went out for dinner and had a glorious few hours of talking uninterrupted. it was glorious. did i mention it was glorious? sometimes you just need to sit across from the person you like the most and speak about things that aren’t OMG MILK WIPE MY BUM I’M NOT WEARING THAT BALLOONS I WANT ICE CREAM. you know? it was nice.
today we did costco, grocery store and are now settled in for some dinner in the STILL DAYLIGHT hours. you can stone me if you’d like but i love me some daylight savings.

Harper is wearing >> dress: h&m // leggings: target // shoes: TOMS // jacket: gap, thrifted // necklace: f21
when a three year old says “mommy can i wear that deer necklace please?” you let them wear it. because they said a polite word with out asking and that in itself is a miracle.
Harper chose this outfit to go pick up my mom at the airport today. the sun shined (shone?) for about 10 minutes while we were snapping a few pictures on the way out. Harper was so cute at the airport, she was SO excited to get her GG back and she was just a doll the entire time. we took the escalators up and down and she pet a doggie. i had to hold her back from running though the “do not enter” part when she spotted my mom. she informed she would like a rolly suitcase that is yittle like her and to go on a plane.
last night we watched Being Elmo. holy tears. about a movie about puppets? i’m such a wuss. if you have netflix it’s on instant right now and you should probably watch it. it was pretty fascinating. if you tend to cry for literally any reason whatsoever, you should probably still watch it, but bring a tissue or something. if you don’t cry for literally any reason whatsoever, you can watch it and then make fun of what a weirdo i am.
i’m off for a MUCH needed girls night with a two of my best friends. daddy daughter date for Scot and this little miss. i hope you’re all having a great weekend!
p.s. i’ll be back in the mix next week!

this week was pretty low key around here. Scot and i changed our diet habits up a bit because i’ve been getting terrible headaches pretty much daily for the past two weeks. i don’t really get headaches so of course i’m convinced i have a brain tumor the size of a grapefruit taking over my noggin. i think it has more to do with the foods i’ve been eating, so we are on a healthier kick. hence the photos of smoothies, fruit, veggie burgers and cous cous. less processed junk and more good stuff. per usual, this will last for a good while before i remember that nutella tastes amazing and that pasta makes me happy.
i discovered Draw Something. hello, addicted. straight up, check me into some sort of pictionary rehabilitation center because i cannot stop. i have nearly peed myself at some of the terrible drawings i have done, and amazing ones people have drawn for me. you have it, don’t you? if not, do it now.
i started reading The Help. ooh and i joined goodreads! are you on there? i haven’t had a chance to really delve into it yet, but i’ve started. so let’s be friends or whatever. i’m loving the book so far. thanks to those of you on facebook who helped me pick it (and thanks to my mama for lending it to me!).
we had a good day on wednesday. for the past month (ok, more), we’ve had to leave our favorite play place due to the nug throwing an epic, omgWTF are you even doing i can’t even, three year old TANTRUM. like, i have to remove her from the premises with her under my arm, her shoes in my other hand while she’s kicking me and trying to hit me in the face. it’s…not pretty. and it was really freaking depressing me. so i didn’t take her for a week and told her why. we had a long talk at the dinner table tuesday night about how tomorrow we are going to play and here are the rules. and she did pretty great. really great! we played for 3 hours and only had one minor situation which was easily dealt with and when we left, she was calm. damn, that was a nice change of pace. make no mistakes about it people – toddlers can suck. i’m sure instagram doesn’t have a filter for that. nothing can make that ish look pretty.
p.s. i want instagram! c’mon get it together for android people!
also, google, in furthering it’s quest to make me punch it square in the face, has cancelled google friend connect for people who have non-Blogger blogs. i have an idea, NO I WILL NOT JOIN GOOGLE+. stop cancelling all your good stuff to try and make us use it. first picnik, now this. ::shakes fist:: jerks. anywho, to continue following the blog (IF GFC was how you followed me), you need to either subscribe via rss, add it manually to reader or your blogger dashboard, or follow with bloglovin‘. cause my blog won’t show up in your feed anymore otherwise. for some of you this is good news, but i’m speaking to the other ones.
i’m looking forward to the weekend. what do you have planned? my mom is coming home from vacation (tonight i got a video text of her and my aunt ziplining through Freemont street in old town Vegas!) so i’ll be picking her up, going to a bday party and as always, lots of coffee will be involved in various forms. happy friday!
