how about yes.

one of the reasons i LOVE when readers say hi is because not only can i then read their blogs, but i can also find new and fun things on their blogrolls. recently this adorable lady said hello and thanks to her, i now have a new obsession :: how about orange. [not to mention i am now following her and her little cutie].

fun and FREE crafty ideas. tons of downloadable and printable goodies! i felt my head would explode at first at all the things i wanted to do RIGHT NOW, but took a step back, calmed down, and decided it would be more reasonable to try maybe one a week. i mean, seriously, contruct your own paper birds! why?! i don’t know nor do i care, cause that is my next project. man, i bet scot would be stoked to know the AMAZING things i do during the day while he works hard to support our family. sheesh.

anyways, check it out! with the printable gift tags, cards, notes, wallpapers, foldy-paper-statues and the like, you’ll be busy for hours. i however only have one 45 minute nap a day (i know right? it’s not very long), so today i simply printed this free artwork and slapped it in a frame for H’s room.november 151

since i have a really gross cold and my motor skills are lacking (as is my ability to talk or breathe, but you don’t need those to do crafts), i’ll be saving the birdy paper fun for another day.

hey do you have facebook? if not, climb on out of that hole and for crying out loud, take off that members only jacket.  if you do have one, be our friend. our button to get there is on the sidebar —————————–>

well friends, i’m off to curl up in the fetal position with a box of kleenex and my remote. i have at least 37 minutes left of naptime.

my kiddo is a year old. we had a great weekend! the party went great (thanks to a lot of help) and fun was had by all (i think!).  i SWEAR Harper knew it was her birthday, she was in a great mood from the minute she woke up. that probably had a lot to do with the fact that both her mommy & daddy came in singing happy birthday to her. she was all smiles.

the party was a success. so many people came to celebrate, it was awesome. she got very spoiled (thank you everyone!) and her tutu was a huge hit. i can’t even beleive how many cuuuute clothes she got, puzzles, dollies, books and games. she got to play with her cousins and other little friends, so she didn’t even cry until the verrry end of present opening. she did SO great, we couldn’t be happier with how everything went! i thought i’d be sad, but i really wasn’t, because all of our friends and family were around to celebrate our little monster. what is to be sad about?

i took 343 pictures. picking just a few to post here will be hard, so this post will be extra photo-y. hope yalls don’t mind!

90 pounds.

nine zero.

that is how much weight Scot and myself have shed since Harper was born, almost one year ago (363 days to be exact). at the time, i didn’t even notice he was putting on weight. but how can one not put on weight when their hormonal wife insists on going to baskin robins nightly. NIGHTLY. because she neeeeeds her coffee icecream in a sugar cone. unless it was one of the nights that she needed a heath blizzard, extra heath (except i still totally order that and he gets soooo bent out of shape when he has to order it at the drive through because lets’ face it, it sounds kinda fat).

once i was coming out of my Harper induced haze (that’d be postpartum), he informed me that it was not ok for him to be buying a size 40 jean and that he “got fat” while i was pregnant. it wasn’t until months later (after he started dropping the weight) that i really noticed how much he had gained when i looked back at photos. turns out he was the heaviest he’d ever been. i had gained about 35 pounds with my pregnancy, pretty much all of which was in the last 3 months (yikes). seriously though, the BR chick knew us. for reals.

the other day Scot informs me he hit a new low (because he has been losing weight like a maniac for the past 8 months). 185 pounds.

a) this means he’s lost 50 pounds.

b) that is what i weighed the day i had Harper.

combined with the 40 lbs i’ve lost since she came along, i’d say we have done pretttty good. of course, he lost all actual fat while i got to push 7.5 out in the form of a cuddly cute newborn, not to mention all the um, stuff, that comes along with it but whatever! i worked hard, too!

as much as i hate to shame myself (and possibly piss off my hub) by putting our “fat” picture on the interweb, i hafta so you can see the difference.
